Rider of the Month - Ryan Lockhart

True Team Green Spirit!

I started riding dirt bikes at the age of 5 and started racing at 7. I started my racing career on a new 1993 KX 60 and 22 years later I’m racing a 2015 KX 450. Racing has taking me to places all over the world, giving me the opportunity to meet some great people and have the privilege of seeing the world. I work in the industry and plan to race and ride as long as I can. I couldn’t imagine my life any other way.

Goals: To continue to race and compete as long as my body will allow me. To win as many national championships as I can at the Walton Transcan in my age classes. To support my local dealer Maple Ridge Motorsports.

Accomplishment you are most proud of:  Having a great 10 + year career as a top level pro competing in the Canadian National Series. My lowest National number was 6. Multiple podium finishes with a win in the 125 class in 2003. I also chased the 2006 AMA Supercross series as a full privateer. Back to Back Dash for Cash Champion (2014/2015) in the Canadian Arenacross series. 2008 Canadian Arenacross Champion.

Something people don’t know about you: I have a very outgoing personality so there are zero secrets in my life. I’m terrified of heights though.

Message to kids: Always follow your dreams. There will be tough times but never give up. Practice and train hard, quality over quantity is the best way to keep things fun.
